Local library: Omni-84 2.1.0

Omni voices use your original recordings. The other eight voice selections are synthesized approximations; Omni 2’s string subvoice is approximated with the sampled keyboard bank. Rhythm patterns sequence authentic OM-84 drum hits but are not verified OM-108 patterns.

Play

Power on, choose a chord, then sweep the gold plate. Higher notes are at the top. Yellow buttons switch between the two printed banks. Hold keeps the chord; Auto adds bass and rhythmic chords. Drums are off initially. Start runs drums continuously; Sync Start starts them on the next chord or keyboard-note button press. Drums keep playing after release. Press the blue Rhythm button again to stop them without changing volume. Click Sync Start to arm drums for the next chord press. Press Space to stop all notes and drums; Power turns the instrument off.

Keyboard: Q–O major, A–L minor, Z–. seventh (E♭ B♭ F C G D A E B). P: F♯ major; ; or : gives F♯ minor; / or ? gives F♯7. 1–=: strum; +: thirteenth note. Space: stop all notes and drums. Knobs: drag, wheel, arrows; Shift-drag for fine adjustment. Use the bottom-right Keyboard button to show or hide the transparent, playable key guide.

Combinations: Hold same-root Major + 7 for M7; Minor + 7 for m7; Major + Minor for dim; all three for aug. Major + the minor button immediately left gives add9; Major + the seventh button immediately left gives sus4. Use multiple fingers, simultaneous keyboard keys, or Shift-click to latch buttons for a mouse combination.

Keyboard mode plays individual sampled notes on the chord panel; the plate plays drum hits. On small screens, rotate to landscape or use Fit instrument to see the full face.
